Silk & Salt
I started Silk and Salt because I kept saying things out loud that were probably better left written down.
I'm not a professional writer. I'm not sure I'm even a good one. I am good at noticing, though, and apparently incapable of keeping it to myself.
The name's simple enough. Silk for the parts of life that go down easy. Salt for the parts that don't, and shouldn't. Most of what I write lives somewhere between the two.
I'm not going to give you the pitch. Here's why you should subscribe, here's what you'll get out of it, none of that. If what I write is relatable, or just mildly interesting, you'll stick around. If it's not, you won't. Either is fine.
I don't have anything profound to say, most days.
Writing it down just keeps me from eating myself alive.
I hope, in some way, you enjoy these field notes from an absurd little life.
